The Wisconsin Federal Statistical Research Data Center (WiscRDC) is hosting the annual Federal Statistical Research Data Center (FSRDC) conference September 5 and 6 in the Pyle Center at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The conference will feature more than 30 presentations by researchers from across the country. The keynote speaker is Bruce Weinberg, professor of economics and public administration at the Ohio State University. He is one of the principal investigators of UMETRICS-a groundbreaking collaboration among the U.S. Census Bureau and Big Ten Academic Alliance researchers and vice presidents for research that developed a means of tracing the economic impact of university research spending.
The WiscRDC is a local access point for a set of restricted data products from the Census, National Center for Health Statistics, and Internal Revenue Service. The University of Wisconsin System also provides funding for the WiscRDC, allowing researchers throughout the UW System to access the facility and restricted data.
