Aging Trajectories & Disparities Across the Life Course, Impacts of Place on Aging Processes

Deshpande’s research interests include Bayesian hierarchical modeling, treed regression, model selection, and causal inference with applications in public health and sports. Much of his methodological research is motivated by challenges encountered when trying to flexibly estimate how the effects of childhood exposures (e.g. playing American-style tackle football) on several inter-dependent measures of health can vary across time and across the population.
