From Dr. Glass:
I trace the rapid evolution of mothers as primary financial providers for their children and the events most often precipitating mothers’ transition into this role. Then I evaluate the income consequences of this shift for mothers and families, how mothers themselves have responded to the need for their income, and how we can better support mothers tasked with financially providing for their children alongside a host of other new childrearing tasks.
