Demography Training Seminar, Wednesdays, 2:00-3:15pm in Sewell Social Sciences Building
Co-hosted by CDE and CDHA, the weekly Demography Training Seminar augments affiliates’ professional skills, including those related to research communication, data management, analysis, and visualization, among many others. The series is largely targeted at the Center’s doctoral students and affiliated postdoctoral fellows, but certain sessions (e.g., new statistical methods, new computing tools) are also targeted to and attended by faculty.
Social Genomics Research Group, Wednesdays, 9:00-10:30am in Sterling Hall
Initiative in Social Genomics’ goal is to expand emerging expertise by integrating genetic and social and health science questions from multiple disciplinary backgrounds including health economics, genetic epidemiology, psychology, and statistical genetics. The research group meets to share and discuss emerging research in these areas.

The Advances in Social Genomics Conference Series (Call for Papers)
With support from the National Institute of Aging, the Center for Demography of Health and Aging and Initiative in Social Genomics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is hosting TAGC from June 8th-9th, 2023. To be considered for this conference, please submit a complete paper, a working draft, or an extended abstract (including data description, methods, and preliminary results) as a .pdf file here by March 15, 2023.
