Save the Date: Fall 2021 Events

Mark your calendars: two exciting events are coming up this fall.

On Wednesday, September 29, the UW Health Economics Research Group will host a workshop exploring research on the opioid epidemic with presentations by Adibah Abdulhadi (PhD student, economics), Christine Durrance (associate professor, La Follette School of Public Affairs), Ross Milton (assistant professor, La Follette School of Public Affairs), Anita Mukherjee (assistant professor, Wisconsin School of Business), Hans Georg Schwarz (PhD student, economics), and Hannes Schwandt (assistant professor, School of Education and Social Policy, Northwestern).

A special conference on social genomics, co-hosted by CDHA, the Initiative in Social Genomics, and the Center for the Economics of Human Development at the University of Chicago, will be held from Thursday, November 18 to Friday, November 19. The conference will cover topics ranging from child development, health behaviors, life cycle decision making, intergenerational transmission of socioeconomic status, and ethical implications of combining genetics with social science.
